Karaoke World Championships USA Welcomes ABC

Mason, OH (PRWEB) May 4, 2010 -- KWCUSA will welcome camera crews and producers from ABC to film its singers at this years' regional and national championships. Interest in what is the largest national singing competition in the country has grown so dramatically that the national network has taken notice and is on board to film the singers and document their stories as they advance through the competition. Wendell Payne, the president of the KWCUSA organization explains that "this gives the 15 million karaoke singers in this country an opportunity they have never had before."

The presence of ABC's cameras will no doubt bring out the best talent the competition has seen so far. It is an opportunity like no other to showcase the undiscovered talent out there. While this isn't the first time that karaoke singers have been spotlighted on national television-the Oprah Winfrey Show featured a karaoke competition last year, this will be the first time that national network cameras will be documenting the singers and their stories throughout an entire competition.

ABC's presence will make this competition resonate even more with the thousands of singers who either have, will, or are participating in the local competitions all across the country right now. To accommodate the interest from singers so far, and to satisfy the demand that is sure to follow the news that a national network will be filming the event, KWCUSA has consolidated its regional finals into three and is allowing its local and state competitions to run longer. Now 3 Regions and More Time to Compete

The KWCUSA competition has been consolidated into 3 regions. Some of the reasoning will be revealed later, but for now it allows us more time to respond to the demand with the ABC annoucement. We will push the regional dates to:

East (Massachusetts) July 24, 25
Central (Texas) August 14,15
West (New Mexico) August 7

We are really excited about all the news. We are looking at venues in Las Vegas for the national championships week of August 28th or September 4th and will let you know when that is complete.

Ohio State Championships at Humpty's

Humpty's at the Holiday Inn in Englewood will host Ohio's State Championships for KWCUSA ON July 2nd and 3rd. Competition will begin Friday at 8 PM in the ballroom. KWCUSA registration at 7PM. Humpty's will host karaoke while the competiion is underway. Lots of specials by Holiday Inn and Humptys including special room rates.

Pike Bar and Grill Hosts KWCUSA competition 

Pike Bar and Grill will host local preliminary competitions begining Thursday May 13th. Finals will be on Thursday June 17. Male and female winners from each week will advance to the finals. Winners on June 17th will compete in state championships on July 2nd and 3rd at Holiday Inn in Englewood, OH.

Roland Europe and KWC
Roland Europe, Roland, and KWC Organization have entered into Roland Europe and KWC Organization have entered into worldwide partnership! KWC Organization flew to the picturesque town of San Benedetto Del Tronto (Italy) to meet the good people of Roland Europe and to discuss the details of the cooperation. The three day visit included familiarizing with the Italian culture and the Roland Europe campus (including Roland Europe factory and Roland DG factory). From every aspect, the trip was a success and both parties want to disclose that a fruitful partnership is on its way. The details will be announced later. 

This is great news for karaoke everywhere. More later as we get more details.

KWC to be in Moscow

 KWC has announced that the Karaoke World Championship will be held in Moscow at Karaoke Club Duets September 22, 25.

 

The planned venue, Golden Palace is an ex-casino that has been renovated to an entertainment center. It has a big main hall and three smaller clubs.
