Q: Where can I compete?
A: Visit the "Where Can I Compete" Page and click your state on the map. If there is a venue in your state, it will show up on the Google map and be listed underneath the map.

Q: I will be competing at a Regional or National competition. Is there a song list available for me to look at?
A: The list of songs approved by ABC is located here. Check back often as more songs are being approved.

Q: Why do I have to register in order to compete?
A: The main reasoning behind having competitors register with us is to be able to get pertinent, competition-related information out to them in addition to getting them eligible for special offers from our sponsors. Information is key, and ensuring it gets to the contestants is crucial. Plus, you are able to compete at a local venue. Both options are open to all registered singers.

Q: I'm a bar owner or KJ, and I want to get involved as a local venue. How do I do this?
A: The KJ Information page is geared towards KJ's and the Venue Information page is for bars and bar owners (or any venue) wanting to get involved.

Q: I'm confused. There's noplace near where I am located that is participating in this. What do I do?
A: If you have a favorite karaoke spot, tell them about our page (www.kwcusa.net). We need street teams all over spreading the word about this competition. We BELIEVE that this is the best thing going, but more importantly, we believe in the singers--the talent out there is phenominal! Register as an official competitor with us.

Q: What is the timeline for KWCUSA events (state, regional, & national competitions)?
A: Stated simply, the timeline is as follows:

TIMELINE

• Local Venues can hold competitions over any number nights or weeks through the week prior to each state championship
• States will hold their state competitions are to be held in May until June 3, 2012 See deadlines below.
• IF show is renewed ABC will tape the four Regional competitions that take place starting mid-June & into July to be broadcast in August into early September.
• World Championships 2012 will be held in September.
